A2 · Lección 29 · Oraciones de relativo con who, which, that

La oración va justo después del sustantivo, sin coma, y sirve para decir de qué persona o cosa hablas: The woman who is wearing the red dress is my cousin.

who = personas, which = cosas (y animales), that = ambas
PalabraSe usa paraEjemplo
whopeoplethe man who fixed my car
whichthings (and animals)the bag which I bought
thatpeople OR thingsthe nurse that helped me / the bag that I bought

Tampoco traduzcas que por what: the book what I bought es incorrecto.

Detrás va el verbo directamente: The woman who lives next door is a dentist.
Detrás va un sujeto expreso y luego el verbo: The man who I met yesterday is very shy. En español dices el hombre que conocí ayer sin yo, pero en inglés el sujeto (I, you, my sister...) es obligatorio.
De sujeto: relativo + verbo. De objeto: relativo + sujeto + verbo
TipoEstructuraEjemplo
subject relativenoun + who/which/that + verba friend who helps me
subject relativenoun + who/which/that + verba shop which sells old books
object relativenoun + who/which/that + subject + verbthe teacher that we like
object relativenoun + who/which/that + subject + verbthe book which you lent me

En inglés hay que escribir el sujeto, y delante del verbo: the book that I bought, the cake that my mother made. the cake that made my mother significaría que el pastel hizo a tu madre.

Lo correcto es the man who works here y the book that I read, no the man who he works here ni the book that I read it.
