B1 · Lezione 8 · Il present perfect passivo
Nei notiziari inglesi questa struttura torna di continuo: A new president has been elected. Two schools have been closed. The match has been cancelled.
Unite, danno has/have been + participio: be passa al present perfect e diventa been.
| Forma | Esempio | |
|---|---|---|
| Soggetto singolare | has been + participle | The bridge has been closed. |
| Soggetto plurale | have been + participle | Two men have been arrested. |
| Negativa | hasn't / haven't been + participle | The winner hasn't been announced. |
| Domanda | Has / Have + subject + been + participle? | Has the report been published? |
| Con just / already | has/have + just/already + been + participle | The law has just been changed. |
| Con by + agente | ... been + participle + by + doer | The story has been shared by millions. |
Dove l'inglese si allontana dall'italiano
- L'ausiliare è have, non be. In inglese l'ausiliare del perfect è sempre have: it has been closed, mai it is been closed. Contratto: it's been, they've been.
- been non si accorda mai. In italiano stato/stata/stati/state cambiano con il soggetto; in inglese cambia solo has (una cosa) / have (più cose), mentre been e il participio restano fissi.
- Non togliere been.
All the tickets have been sold.
Negative, domande, just / already / yet
Lavora solo has/have: not dopo di esso (hasn't been, haven't been), oppure has/have davanti al soggetto per la domanda: Have the results been checked? — Yes, they have. / No, they haven't. just (appena) e already (già) stanno tra has/have e been, dove in italiano metteresti appena tra è e stato: The flight has just been cancelled. yet va in fondo alle negative (non ... ancora) e alle domande (... già?): The prices haven't been decided yet. Has the report been published yet?
Di solito chi ha compiuto l'azione non si nomina (My bike has been stolen). Quando è una notizia di per sé, aggiungi by + agente in fondo: The new museum has been opened by the Queen.
La trappola per chi parla italiano: è stato arrestato vale sia has been arrested sia was arrested. Se c'è un tempo finito e concluso (yesterday, last week, in 2020), usa il past simple passivo: The minister was interviewed yesterday. Senza tempo, quando conta il risultato di adesso: The minister has been interviewed. Prima di scrivere has been, controlla che nella frase non ci sia un "quando" concluso.
