A2 · Lezione 9 · just, already e yet

Il present perfect lo conosci già: have/has + participio — I have washed the dishes.

just e already: come appena e già

Si mettono tra have/has e il participio, esattamente come ho appena pulito, ha già fatto: I have just cleaned the kitchen. He has already made the beds. just = un attimo fa; already = è fatto, e di solito prima di quanto l'altro si aspettasse. Nel parlato il verbo si contrae quasi sempre: I've just cleaned the kitchen. She's just put the washing on.

Have you taken out the rubbish yet?

Nothing has come out of the machine yet.

already o yet?

He has already ironed his shirt contro He hasn't ironed his shirt yet.

yet non va mai in una frase affermativa: I have tidied my room yet è sbagliato — di' already, o niente. E non spostare mai just o already in fondo: I have cleaned the kitchen just è sbagliato.

  • Negativa: soggetto + haven't/hasn't + participio + ... + yet
  • Domanda: Have/Has + soggetto + participio + ... + yet?
  • Affermativa: soggetto + have/has + just/already + participio

Nelle domande attenzione: Hai già stirato? in italiano è una domanda neutra, ma in inglese la domanda neutra si fa con yet — Has he mopped the floor yet? Con already esprimi sorpresa: Has he mopped the floor already?
