Terms of service
Version 1.0, effective 2026-09-14. This English text is the governing version; the German, Russian and Serbian pages say the same things in their own words.
In short
- The first ten lessons of every course are free. Everything after that needs one subscription, which covers every course and every language.
- Subscriptions are sold and renewed by the App Store or Google Play, cancel in the store, and are refunded by the store under its rules.
- You may use the course content to learn. You may not copy it, resell it, or feed it to another product.
- We are a small business in Serbia. Serbian law applies, and if you are a consumer in the EU you keep the protections of your own country.
1. Who you are contracting with
The Peroglot app and the website peroglot.com are provided by LEV RIABOV PR BEOGRAD, a sole proprietor registered in the Republic of Serbia (details on the business details page). "We" and "Peroglot" mean that business. By installing the app or using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
2. What the service is
Peroglot is a language-learning app. You write whole sentences in the language you are learning; the app checks every word and every grammar rule, shows what went wrong, and brings weak items back until they stick. Lessons, words, sentences, audio and pictures are downloaded to your phone as course content and updated over time. The website presents the courses and publishes part of their grammar and vocabulary as reference pages.
We change and extend the content continuously. A course that is marked as being written may have fewer lessons than one that is complete; the website and the app show what is published today.
3. Your account
The app creates an anonymous account when it first connects to our server, and you may attach an email address, Apple ID or Google account to it. You are responsible for the devices signed into your account. One account is for one person. We may close accounts that abuse the service (section 6).
You must be at least 16 years old to use Peroglot.
4. Free content and subscriptions
4.1 What is free
The first ten lessons of each course are free, with no time limit. Reviews of items you have already learned keep working after a subscription ends.
4.2 Subscription
Access beyond the free lessons requires a Peroglot subscription. One subscription unlocks every course and every language. We offer a monthly and a yearly plan; the price in your currency is shown in the store and on the paywall screen before you buy.
4.3 Renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You cancel in the store, not in the app: on iOS under Settings → your name → Subscriptions, on Android in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period already paid for. Deleting your account or the app does not cancel a subscription.
4.4 Refunds and the right of withdrawal
Payment is taken by Apple or Google, and refunds are handled by them under their policies; we cannot issue store refunds ourselves. If you are a consumer in the EU or another jurisdiction with a right of withdrawal for distance purchases, note that by starting the subscription you ask for the digital content to be delivered immediately and, where the law allows, acknowledge that the withdrawal right is lost once delivery has begun. Apple and Google apply their own withdrawal handling on top of this.
4.5 Price changes
If we change the price of a plan, the store notifies you in advance and the new price applies only from the next renewal you have been informed about.
4.6 Apple users
On iOS the licence to the app is governed additionally by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where it conflicts with these terms in a way that affects Apple, Apple's agreement prevails.
5. Content and intellectual property
The lessons, sentences, explanations, recordings, pictures, software and design are ours or licensed to us and are protected by copyright. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning within the app and the site.
You may not copy, extract, scrape, redistribute or resell course content, build another product from it, or use it to train a machine-learning model. The word-form data derived from the srLex dictionary is an exception: it is available under the terms on the licenses page.
Reports and suggestions you send us may be used to improve the course without payment or attribution. They should not contain personal data about other people.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to bypass the subscription, interfere with the service, access other people's accounts, or overload our servers. We may suspend or close an account that does so, and refuse service to that person.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. The app works offline once a course is downloaded; sync needs a connection. We may change features, content and these terms. Material changes to the terms are announced in the app at least 30 days before they apply, and you may end the contract by cancelling and deleting your account before that date.
8. Ending the contract
You can stop using Peroglot at any time and delete your account from the app or as described on the account deletion page. We may end the contract with 30 days' notice, or immediately for a breach of section 6. Either way, paid periods already started are governed by section 4.
9. Liability
Peroglot is a learning aid; we do not guarantee any particular learning result or that every accepted answer is the only correct one. To the extent the law allows, we are liable only for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law grants you and that cannot be waived.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia. If you are a consumer living in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, and you may bring a claim there. Before going to court, please write to support@peroglot.com; most problems are solved in a day.
11. Language
These terms exist in English, German, Russian and Serbian. The English version governs if the versions differ.
